About the Founders of
Be-Virtual-Assistant-Wise
Francis van Wyk and Marietjie Steyn are the co-founders of Be-Virtual-Assistant-Wise.
Being in the corporate and business environment for many years as well as being part of the virtual assistant
industry, they have the skills, background, experience and knowledge to not only promotes the VA industry in SA
but also to assist each individual VA to become successful.
FRANCIS VAN WYK
Francis holds a masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) and a masters degree in Science (M.Sc).
She was part of a large corporate and industrial industry for more than 10 years and gained extensive experience
in how to run and manage a business successfully with regards to financial -, operational-, time- and personnel
management.
She relocated with her husband and daughter to Saudi Arabia and had to leave her career in the corporate
environment. Although initially a heartbreaking experience to leave the job she loved, it soon turned out to be
one of the best decisions in her life. After stumbling upon the Virtual Assistant industry, doing extensive
research and becoming a successful virtual Research Assistant, she never looked back.
Upon relocating back to Gauteng, South Africa, Francis realised that the South African business community
does not have sufficient knowledge of the Virtual Assistant Industry. Be-Virtual-Assistant-Wise was born and
by partnering with Marietjie Steyn, the goal to increase the awareness of the VA industry within the South African
business community start becoming a reality.
This goal will eventually benefit every VA in South Africa.
MARIETJIE STEYN
Marietjie being an ex Personal Assistant in the Private and Banking Sector with a vision of working from home,
joined the Real Estate industry in 1984 and started her own real estate company.
Ten years ago she joined a Bond Origination Company as a virtual consultant working from home.
She has extensive marketing experience and has successfully built an elaborate client-base for her business.
She almost perfected the marketing tool of "Word of Mouth" advertising as most of her clients are referred to her
by previous, satisfied customers.
Marietjie has excellent public speaking skills and networking capabilities and loves using it to assist
people in the various aspects of building relationships, marketing, financial and business endeavours.
Her passion lies with training, motivation and helping people realising their full potential.
Marietjie is based in Gauteng where she happily resides with her husband.
She has 2 sons, both in successful professional careers.
